LOS ANGELES, June 24, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Today, the innovative music and technology company, KLKTN and cult Japanese indie band Gesu no Kiwami Otome, have announced their first-ever OpenSea NFT collaborative collection, Maru. Celebrating the band’s 10th anniversary, Maru is a generative art project comprised of 1,203 NFTs of varying rarity, including unique music tracks.

Created for superfans of the group, Gesu no Kiwami Otome, ownership of this collection will grant exclusive access to giveaways and a live music session, among other benefits, NFT holders will be able to participate in the creation of a music video . This will be the company’s first Ethereum (ETH) based project and the first project featured by KLKTN Studio, which is a branch of KLKTN focusing on bespoke Web3 projects with artists and their fans. KLKTN is originally a music technology company focused on cultivating unique artistic experiences between fans and their favorite artists.

Gesu no Kiwami Otome (ゲスの極み乙女。 “Lowest Girl”) formed in Tokyo in 2012, and paved the way for progressive indie music in Japan, going beyond the limits of J-pop to bring together musical influences ranging from hip hop to jazz to classic rock. In doing so, they’ve created a sound all their own, garnering acclaim from critics and millions of dedicated fans who love them as much for their musicianship as they are for their charisma.

Maru, a versatile generative art project, captures the personalities of the four members of Gesu No Kiwami Otome and is inspired by the art of the group. Each of Project Maru’s 1,203 NFTs is designed to be bright, quirky and simply round. The multicolored pop sensation exudes an energy aligned with the band’s colorful nature and will inspire fans to imagine Maru’s story going through a decade of band greatness. As an additional utility, token holders will be able to participate in the creative process as a co-creator of the new music video, which will be announced later on the project’s website.

Fans can attend the presale on June 28 and join the allowlist for social media giveaways until June 27, 2022. All eligible winners will have a 24-hour window to strike from 6pm PT (10am JST) on June 28. There will be a rollover of all NFTs that are not issued from the sale of the authorized list to the public sale that will go live June 30th. Maru will be distributed in presale to allowlist winners who will have 740 NFTs available and public sale which will have 360 ​​NFTs.

The reveal will be hosted on Discord on July 7 by connecting user wallets to access secure NFT channels inside the Maru Discord. All users must hold a Maru to enter. These channels will include details about upcoming community events, upcoming KLTKN releases, and more. Fans will be able to participate in exciting giveaways in early August, as merchandise raffles and whitelisting of KLKTN NFT projects will be among the prizes. In mid-August, a live holder session will be live for NFT holders.
